Many celebrities, musicians, influencers, etc., come from the great state of Utah. While many of these famous individuals were raised or got their start in cities along the Wasatch Front, there are a handful of well-known individuals who were raised in smaller towns. Chrissy Teigen, a model, influencer, and author, is one of these notable individuals as she was born in the small town of Delta, Utah.
Christine Diane Teigen, better known as Chrissy Teigen, made quite a name for herself in 2010 when she appeared in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Since then, Teigen has not only made a name for herself in the modeling world, but she is an influencer, producer, actress, wife, and mother.
Teigen was born in 1985 in the small town of Delta, Utah. Unfortunately, this town is one that many people don’t take the time to explore and they miss out on some of Utah’s greatest hidden gems.
Delta may be in the middle of nowhere, but it is the perfect gateway to many incredible destinations like Great Basin National Park and the Sahara Sand Dunes.

Delta is also home to Van’s Dance Hall. This was once considered the best dance hall in America and was a popular place to be during the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s.
At the time of this writing, Van’s Dance Hall is closed to the public as it is undergoing a massive restoration process to bring the building back to its former glory.
But, there are so many other attractions worthy of a visit including the Topaz Museum.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered nearly 120,000 people of Japanese heritage to be incarcerated, with many relocated to an internment camp in Utah. The Topaz Museum in Delta is located at the site of this camp and tells the story of this tragic time in America’s history.
You can also pay a visit to the Great Basin Historical Society Museum. This unique museum shares the story of Delta’s past and is an incredible place to visit if you have an interest in fossils, geodes, and more.
Not only is the area beautiful, but it’s perfect for spending some time out on the water. This reservoir is a wonderful destination for boating and water skiing or simply relaxing in a kayak or canoe. There are also beaches and picnic tables where you can sit back and admire the views. The reservoir is open to the public from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend.
And, one of our favorite hidden gems in Delta is the annual Snow Goose Festival. This may just be one of the most beautiful festivals in Utah.
This incredible event takes place at Gunnison Bend Reservoir during the month of February and is where you can watch thousands of Snow Geese. Throughout the month, it is estimated that up to 30,000 geese fly through the area. And not only can you just sit and observe the geese (which is one incredible sight!), but there are also several additional activities during the event as well like food trucks, opportunities to talk to biologists, a quilt show, and more.

Of course, when you start to get hungry during a visit to Delta, there is one place you need to go — Ashton Burger Bar. This unique burger joint is located inside a rustic barn and is where you can find some incredible burgers.
The burgers at this burger joint in Delta are not only massive, but they are also delicious. Plus, you can pair your meal with a side like baked beans, coleslaw, chips, or French fries. Just don't forget your milkshake!
Delta, Utah is home to all types of unique attractions and is always worthy of a visit. Have you ever been?
