It could be the sunshine or the warm weather but when in St. George, there is nothing like the perfect ice cream cone, and located right in the heart of Ancestor Square, you will find one of the best ice cream shops in southern Utah. Bee Sweet is a delightful ice cream and coffee shop where you can find it all from fresh waffle cones to perfectly brewed coffee. When visiting St. George, Utah, I highly recommend a visit to Bee Sweet at 2 W St. George Boulevard. A delightful hidden gem, this ice cream shop is tucked away in a historic sheriff’s office next to a jailhouse.
This ice cream shop was the idea of 16-year-old Kate Rose, but didn’t become a reality until two years later. Today, this young entrepreneur is bringing her dream to life by creating a vibe that is fun and unique.
"I've always had a passion for creating unique and memorable experiences," she writes on her website, "and opening an ice cream shop in the heart of the historical district of Ancestor Square felt like the perfect way to bring this vision to life. Over the past two years, I've spent countless hours researching different ingredients, working closely with local artisans and businesses to source our ingredients and create a space that feels authentic and rooted in the community."

And in just a short time, Rose has certainly seen success.
"My success is attributed to passion, delivering exceptional products/services, building relationships, continuous learning, and a dedicated team," she says. "Staying true to core values and striving for excellence and staying sweet is key."

It goes without saying, but when you come to Bee Sweet, you simply must try some ice cream -- each and every variety is handcrafted using the best, freshest ingredients.
Plus, there is quite a range of ice cream flavors to choose from: classics like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous creations like the blue-hued cotton candy and zesty lemon bar.
Bee Sweet also specializes in coffee and espresso. Put a little kick in your step with a cup of freshly brewed black coffee, which is made from high-quality beans.
Or you may rather enjoy an espresso with one of this shop’s premium espresso blends and a little touch of your preferred milk choice.
Before you head home, make sure to pick up one of the specialty jarred sauces. These sauces add something extra to any bowl of ice cream and are made with fresh ingredients and lots of flavor.
"One of my favorite parts of being a business owner is getting to know our customers and creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels like part of the family."

And while the ice cream is delicious and the vibe is incredible, Bee Sweet is also putting a focus on the community. "We serve the community by providing a space where people can enjoy the historic district, as Bee Sweet is located in a historical building," the owner explains. "By preserving and utilizing this historic space, Bee Sweet contributes to the area's cultural heritage and offers visitors a unique experience."
Plus, by bringing local artists to the courtyard, Bee Sweet aims to enhance the charm of the historic district and create a destination that attracts both locals and tourists alike. "My shop becomes not just a place to enjoy ice cream but a cornerstone of the community, celebrating its past while embracing its future," Rose says.
