Hogle Zoo is a family favorite during summer months, and this year it’s especially nice to be able to wander through the zoo and breathe in the fresh air. Right now there’s a brand new baby gorilla that you’ll want to meet, and you also won’t want to miss the antics of the new Amur leopard cubs, Storm and Skye.

Hogle Zoo is the place to be this summer! Its animals are all ready to say hello, and the shady paths are nice and cool.
On July 6th, Western Lowland gorilla Jabali gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Father Husani was a little bit concerned about all flurry of activity surrounding the birth, but the gorilla troop has settled in now and this little baby is definitely well-loved.
You can get a close-up look at mama and baby, but you'll need a reservation. She's still very young, so the zoo is minimizing the number of guests who see her for now.
Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page to reserve a 15-minute time slot between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. There's no charge for the reservation; it's simply a way to keep crowds down until this baby is just a little older.
If you haven't had a chance to visit Hogle Zoo yet this year, now's the time! You definitely don't want to miss the adorable babies, and see all of the other beautiful animals here.
Make sure to go online to reserve your entry ticket in advance.
