There are things in life where the original is just too good to change. That’s the case with the Fat Boy Burger from Ab’s Drive-In in Utah. This tasty burger has been a favorite menu item for decades in West Valley, but it’s not the only thing at this restaurant you’ll want to devour. If you are craving a burger, fries, and shake, you certainly won’t want to go anywhere else.
Ab’s Drive-In in Utah has been a favorite place to eat for Utahns since 1951.
This restaurant started out in a rented tin shack and was known as Ab’s Country Inn. In 1952, a new cinder block building was built and within a year, an extension to this building was needed. Finally, in 2003, a new building was completed on 5600 West that could accommodate the crowds that wanted a bite of this restaurant’s tasty food. This is now where Ab’s Drive-In in Utah is located today.
Despite being built in the 2000s, this restaurant still has an old-school vibe. It’s definitely a fun place to sit and enjoy a meal.
This restaurant is known for its burgers, especially the Fat Boy. This burger was on the original menu in the 1950s and you can still enjoy its goodness today.
Make sure you try the hand-cut French fries when visiting Ab’s Drive-In. These fries are cooked to order and have been made this way since the first day of business in 1951.
Burgers and fries aren’t the only items on the menu at this popular place to eat. You can try chicken, fish, or even a corn dog. The onion rings are also the perfect complement to any meal.
One of the more popular shake flavors at this restaurant is banana. However, don't be afraid to go a little crazy and try a chocolate and banana shake. It may become your new favorite frozen treat.
No matter what you choose to eat, make sure you arrive at this restaurant early. Ab's Drive-In can become quite busy and whether you eat indoors or order in the drive-thru, be prepared for a wait.
