Utah is known for some pretty interesting food. From fry sauce to scones, there are many iconic Utah dishes that only true Utahns have at their table. Funeral potatoes are at the top of this list. This casserole consists of potatoes, lots of cheese, creamy soups, and crushed cornflakes, chips, or crackers on top — it’s delicious. But, 5 Star BBQ Company in Utah has done the impossible and turned this delicious and classic Utah dish into something even better. You need to taste it to believe it.
5 Star BBQ Company is located on Geneva Road in Orem. This restaurant strives to make every meal an experience and we certainly think they nailed it.
All it will take is one bite of your meal and you’ll be in heaven. The menu features all of your traditional barbecue favorites including brisket, pork, chicken, Cajun sausage, ribs, and turkey. The meat is slow-cooked for up to 12 hours to ensure every bite is juicy and packed with flavor.
This barbecue restaurant takes this traditional Utah dish and turns it up a notch. You will receive small balls of funeral potatoes that are rolled in corn flakes and fried. It’s incredible.
You can order a side order of fried funeral potatoes, which contains just two fried pieces. If you want more of this heaven on earth (who wouldn't?!?) place a full order which contains six pieces.
You also won’t want to miss out on the banana pudding. This southern classic is made from scratch and features vanilla wafers, whipped cream, and freshly sliced bananas.
