Fed by the Provo River and contained by the Jordanelle Dam, Jordanelle Reservoir is a mecca for camping, fishing, boating and more. Jordanelle State Park opened in 1995 and offers tons of recreation opportunities. Now that Utah’s weather is warming up, it’s time to visit!

Drive up Parley’s Canyon to find Jordanelle. It’s north of Heber and about 35 miles east of Salt Lake City. The reservoir covers 3,064 acres. It’s perfect for fishing (rainbow, small mouth bass, brown and cutthroat) and boating (kayak, canoe, powerboats and fishing boats).

You’ll find tons of flora around Jordanelle State Park, especially in the spring.

Jordanelle has over 100 RV sites and dozens of tent sites. The Hailstone sites offer restrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, a playground, dump station and even laundry facilities.
