America's Most Secluded Distillery Is So Worth The Trip
After a long work week, some of us find ourselves craving a nice cold drink to help take the edge off of life’s chaos. You probably already have a favorite local bar that you like to regularly visit, but sometimes we crave a more elevated outing where we get to see behind the scenes a little bit more.
There’s a relatively new distillery that’s making waves in Minnesota, and it’s so far north that you’re only a stone’s throw away from our northern neighbors in Canada. Located in a town that has a population of under 1,000 residents, Far North Spirits has created a reason for visitors from all over the country to come and see what they have brewing here in this rural distillery.

Far North is the country’s northernmost distillery in the lower 48 states, putting you less than an hour away from Manitoba and over two hours away from the Twin Cities. The distillery was built from scratch on an old wheat field, creating a set up where you get to enjoy reasonably priced drinks all while you’re secluded away from everything else. With neighbors few and far between, this small town Minnesota distillery makes for a peaceful place to relax with a drink in hand.
Filling their 100,000th bottle this past August, Far North has continued to prove that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. To visit the distillery, you can experience their Cocktail Room each Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or book a private tour by request. To find out more information, click here.
