A hit TV series on CBS between 1984 through 1986, "Murder, She Wrote" starred actress Angela Lansbury who played a detective named Jessica Fletcher. In the series, the Blair House’s exterior was used as Fletcher’s home in Maine, while the interior was shot at another location.

In the show, the home may have been depicted in Maine, yet in reality, the actual Blair House was really on the West Coast in California! Located right in Mendocino Village, the charming oceanside community is where "Murder, She Wrote" fans can visit Fletcher’s house.

Today, the Blair House operates as a Bed & Breakfast that true fans love to come and stay at for the night. The house is made up of three suites that have lovely featherbeds, with Jennifer’s Room, Eric’s Room, and the largest suite, which is Angela’s Room. The home is just steps away from the water and local restaurants and shops, making it one charming getaway to enjoy.
