New York City is famous for its holiday celebrations – after all, it is home to everyone’s favorite Thanksgiving Day Parade and the glittering ball every watches to drop on New Year’s. The city hosts an array of spectacular holiday shows and displays, but East Coasters also look forward to one particular holiday event that those from outside the region might not know about. Head for the Bronx – it’s time for the New York Botanical Garden’s Holiday Train Show!
This unique event is one of the most anticipated of the season, and if you have yet to check it out, now’s the time.
This year, the train’s route will hone in on Lower Manhattan and feature new landmarks like the One World Trade Center, Battery Maritime Building, and two vintage ferry boats.
As this all takes place within the New York Botanical Garden, all of the amazing, artistic models that you see are made from natural materials, making the train show even more special.
While the vintage ferry boats and other new landmarks are highly anticipated this year, you’ll also discover more than 175 other famous New York City landmarks and structures.
Tickets to the Holiday Train Show sell out quickly, so if you are in the area (or planning an upcoming trip), pick up your tickets as soon as possible. You’ll find more information about the show and can purchase tickets online through the New York Botanical Garden’s website here.
