What was called the “Mother of all Landslides,” last May a quarter-mile section of Highway 1 in California was destroyed by a weekend landslide. The landslide had a dramatic effect on the highway, leaving six million cubic yards of debris replaced and creating 2,400-feet of new shoreline. As a result, it’s taken the last 14 months to rebuild this small stretch of the scenic highway.
