Calling all craft brewing fans – San Diego is getting a huge new beer museum, and it looks pretty epic. From learning about the brewing process to enjoying a cold one with friends, it’s shaping up to be an awesome destination.

In a statement given to Travel + Leisure, Bruce Glassman, the museum’s Curator of Craft, said that the museum will be a "jumping-off place where everyone can come to begin their personal craft beer journey. It will seek to inspire hardcore beer fans and also educate those new to craft beer who have a thirst to learn more."

The museum will offer hands-on exhibits that teach visitors all about the history of beer, how craft brewing works, and just what goes into making a perfect pint. Guests will also be able to learn about different beers from around the world and get in touch with the unique brewing history of San Diego.

Of course, no beer museum would be complete with an awesome taproom. The Museum of Beer will offer a full beer garden where visitors can relax with a cold one or chow down on a slice from the museum’s artisanal pizza kitchen. The brews served at the taproom will range from crowd-pleasers to rare bottles from limited releases around the country. If the project receives enough funding, the Museum of Beer is slated to open by 2020.
