When it comes to figuring out where you can find the best lobster roll in the country, most people will be able to agree on the fact that the New England region takes home this title. Yet strangely enough, for the second year in a row, the winner of Down East magazine’s World’s Best Lobster contest has been a chef and restaurant that resided outside of New England! Read on to find out which delicious lobster roll took home the 2018 title.
After narrowing down the contest to a total of 10 competing chefs back in May, the World's Best Lobster Roll competition was finally held in July.
All 10 chefs worked hard to create their best lobster rolls all day long, and 400 people attending the competition voted for their favorites electronically.
A one-of-a-kind seafood spot right in the heart of Atlanta, Beetlecat is named after a brand of New England sailboats and is known for bringing the East Coast to the Gulf Coast.
With unforgettable mouthwatering buttery rolls that are filled with fresh Maine lobster meat, chef Andrew Isabella has just given us the newest reason to head down to The Peach State!
