A castle that possibly has the most unique surrounding scenery to it on this list, Castello di Amorosa can be found on a California winery that dates back to the late 1800s. Taking over a decade to construct, the castle is the main focus of what makes up the 171-acres of this breathtaking property. Today, the winery offers tours that give you a look a the castle and pair it up perfectly with a wine tasting afterwards. Out of all of the Empire State's magical structures, you're guaranteed to fall in love with Boldt Castle the most. Located out in the Thousand Islands, visitors can take boat rides out to Heart Island to see the fairytale-like landscapes that surround the fit-for-royalty castle.

The castle was built in the late 1920s as a gift and today fairytale-chasers can come explore the grounds with a self-guided tour. Not too far from the coast in Connecticut is one of the most visually unique castles that you'll see on this list. The main feature of Gillette Castle State Park, Gillette Castle was completed back in 1924. Originally the home of famous actor William Gillette, the state took over the property in the early 1940s and gave it the name of Gillette State Park. Sitting above the Connecticut River, it's a charming hidden gem of the East Coast.
Also known to some Americans as Chateau Laroche, Ohio's Loveland Castle has a beautiful history behind it. Built piece by piece on the banks of Little Miami River by Harry D. Andrews, the castle was constructed over the course of fifty years. One of the most interesting parts about this castle?
