How many natural hot springs in the U.S. are there?  

We suppose this might have a lot to do with which kind of natural springs you’re looking for! The United States is home to 1,161 known thermal springs, which are hot springs heated by geothermal heat (heat within the Earth). Then there are mineral springs, natural springs, etc., and there are thousands of each of those, too. The state that has the most natural hot springs might surprise you! It’s not Wyoming, Alaska, or Colorado (the most commonly guessed states) - it’s Nevada! Home to more than 300 amazing springs, Nevada easily takes the first-place hot springs ribbon. Colorado is home to 93 natural springs, Alaska is home to more than 20, and Wyoming is home to 173 (some of which are WAY too hot or acidic for soaking). What are some of the best winter getaways in the U.S.?  

Winter is a beautiful time of year for those who enjoy crisp, cold air and beautiful, snowy landscapes. There are countless places to get away from it all scattered across the country, though some states do tend to see more wintertime traffic than others. For example, some of our favorite winter getaways in the U.S. include several in Colorado, like Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Estes Park, Aspen, and Breckenridge.
