The U.S. has so many incredible natural attractions that it’s nearly impossible to experience them all in one lifetime. If you feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of options, how about starting with America’s most underrated attractions? You might just find that these are just as beautiful and, better yet, significantly less crowded. Without further ado, here are 3 of the most breathtaking, underrated natural attractions in the U.S.
Upon arriving at the breathtaking 14,500-acre state park in New York, you'll understand immediately why this landmark is often revered as the Grand Canyon of the East Coast. No less remarkable than the actual Grand Canyon, this breathtaking area features three massive waterfalls which are situated along the Genesee River.
While it may seem like a modest point on the vast Wyoming horizon, Devil's Tower actually stands at an impressive 1,267 feet tall. This remote landmark is absolutely worth the trek, especially if you happen to be visiting nearby Mount Rushmore. For some truly breathtaking stargazing, visitors can even camp out near this landmark.
The Apostle Islands are a collection of 21 small islands on Lake Superior. Marked by lighthouses and hiking trails, these natural wonders are positively stunning. And if you should brave the cold and wind in the winter, you'll be treated to a magnificent winter wonderland.
