Amtrak's New Sleeping Car Menu Will Make Your Stomach Rumble
When you think of fine dining, the first place that comes to mind probably isn’t an Amtrak car – but that soon may change! Recently Amtrak has been working hard to improve its dining menus for passengers. With new menus rolling out, we’ve never craved a trip on the rails more than we do right now!

Only a month after unveiling their newly-revamped menu on Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor Route, the railroad service has announced that their sleeping car food menu for the Capitol Limited and Lake Shore Limited rails will be improving as well. Now on the menu, you’ll be able to find options like Beef Short Rib, Vegan Wrap, Chicken Caesar Salad, Antipasto Plate, and children’s meals. Let’s also not forget about dessert, Amtrak has added a salted caramel cheesecake to their menu and we couldn’t control our rumbling stomachs even if we tried!
Amtrak has announced that they’re working to provide passengers with fresh food choices that will also aim to include hot options. All of the menu options for these routes come with sides and dessert, with Sleeping Car customers also having access to unlimited soft beverages and complimentary beer or wine.
