Calling all adrenaline junkies! If you thrive on the palm-sweating, heart-pounding feeling that only high-speed thrill rides can evoke, you’ll definitely want to check out this new roller coaster coming to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in 2022. Set to open next summer, Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger will be the steepest dive roller coaster in the entire world. Are you brave enough to give it a whirl?
Six Flags Fiesta Texas is one of the state's premier theme parks, boasting more than 60 rides and other attractions, including 10 world-class roller coasters and a waterpark.
Among the most popular rides are the Boomerang, which features two loop-de-loops and a corkscrew, the Poltergeist, which takes you from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds, and the iconic BATMAN™, the world's first 4D, free-fly roller coaster.
The world's steepest dive roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger will commemorate the park's 30th anniversary, pushing the boundaries of what is physically possible with a beyond-vertical, 95-degree drop.
Dr. Diabolical is on a mission to harvest human fear for her own personal evildoings, and it all starts with the nerve-wracking ride to the tip-top of the roller coaster.
The ride, which takes you a whopping 150 feet in the air, offers a panoramic view of the entire park that, under normal circumstances, would be quite beautiful - but these are far from normal circumstances.
Before the face-first plunge, you'll be locked in a cliffhanger hold that seems to last forever.
Finally, once Dr. Diabolical has collected all the adrenaline she needs to carry out her sinister plot, you'll be released into a 60-mile-per-hour freefall.
The remainder of the 2,500-foot-long track features all sorts of wild twists and turns, another drop, and a high-speed spiral as the grand finale.
As you disembark, with all the energy drained from your body by the deadly doctor, you'll somehow feel more alive than ever.
