Between its German heritage and quaint town square, Fredericksburg is easily one of the most charming places in Texas. It’s full of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered, and Das Peach Haus definitely belongs on that list. It’s an adorable little store full of local jams and jellies, wine, a cooking class, and an adjacent peach orchard that produces juicy, succulent fruits all summer long. It’s a must-visit next time you’re passing through town!
Beginning as a summertime produce stand in 1976, this historic building has since become a year-round winery, culinary school, and grocery store selling local jams, jellies, preserves, and sauces.
The inside is full of charming decor — and shelves full of endless spreads. The tastes of Fredericksburg are conveniently bottled for you to enjoy whenever you please.
Wine tastings include rotating samples from two different Hill Country vineyards. The experience includes an international assortment of cured meats and cheeses that compliment the beverages perfectly.
A popular photo-op, this old-fashioned truck is the landmark of the store. It may not carry actual products anymore, but it sure is charming enough to pose in front of for a family picture you'll cherish forever.
Out back, you'll find a quaint little patio overlooking a pond. Bring your glass of wine out here and watch the sunset as the trees cast shadows on the water — a relaxing experience like none you've ever had before.
