Here in Texas, we’re all about hearty eats. Nine times out of ten, a no-frills meat and potatoes dinner hits the spot in ways no small-portioned gourmet meal ever could. That being said, dainty and sophisticated fare has a time and place — the place being Café M. Bloomers in Navasota. This charming eatery is also a tearoom, serving up fresh and delicious light bites in a whimsical setting.

Tucked away inside Martha's Bloomers, a home and garden store in Navasota, Café M. Bloomers is a charming restaurant specializing in fresh fare and incredible tea.
Lunch is served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday, with desserts offered until 4 p.m.
Inside, the atmosphere is whimsical as can be. Colorful flower bouquets command the center of each table, and elegant, yet cozy decor covers the pastel walls.
From a basic earl grey to zingy orange ginger lemongrass, there's truly something for everyone. The cafe even has its very own blend that combines ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and citrus. It's sophisticated, yet comforting.

Amid the hand painted teacups resting on saucers, immaculate table settings, and light bites like biscuits with jelly and cream, it feels like you've sat down to high tea with the Queen.
Keeping with the dainty theme, the menu is chock full of finger sandwiches. Triple-decker clubs, ham and Swiss, chicken salad on a freshly baked croissant...we're drooling already.
Quality is paramount, so only the finest Boar's Head meats and cheeses are used. You'll also see wraps, soup, and a slew of entree salads sure to refresh your palate with herbs and unique flavor combinations.
If you're craving a heartier dish, rest-assured the selection is plentiful.
Scrumptious sweets such as scones, pie, and this decadent chocolate cake are the perfect ending to a savory meal (paired with a cup of tea, of course -- might we suggest the English breakfast?)
Just outside the café are the lush gardens in which Martha's Bloomers grows its flowers, vegetables, and herbs. The fragrant aromas are so lovely, and you'll definitely want to peruse the grounds after eating.
Takeout and curbside service are also available. Visit the restaurant’s website or Facebook page to learn more.
