One of the best waterfront restaurants in Texas, Dido’s in Brazoria not only boasts incredible views, but also has its very own paddleboat. Whether you opt for a dinner cruise aboard the boat or simply dine on the patio and watch it go by, this incredible eatery offers one of the most memorable meals you’ll ever enjoy.
If you're in search of a dining experience that will forever change the way you see eating out at a restaurant, look no further than Dido's Seafood in Brazoria.
Located along the beautiful San Bernard River, Dido's is part of the River Rendezvous Resort, which also includes a bed and breakfast, event venue, marina, and the historic Yellowstone Paddlewheeler - but more on that last one in a minute.
For now, let's stick to talking about the restaurant. Dido's has been around for nearly 40 years, specializing in fresh Gulf seafood straight from the boat.
Both indoor and outdoor seating are available, and we highly recommend the latter if it's a nice day. Overlooking the river, the spacious deck allows patrons to watch the Yellowstone as she commands the water.
Satisfy your surf and turf cravings with a mouthwatering Braveheart Black Angus USDA Choice Ribeye served with shrimp, a vegetable, and a starch like rice or mashed potatoes.
Other options include burgers, chicken-fried steak, soups and salads, pasta dishes, appetizers, and more. There are also daily lunch specials ranging from meatloaf to Tex-Mex.
The dinner cruise includes a five-course meal comprised of an appetizer, soup, salad, surf and turf entrée, and dessert, plus a chef-selected wine pairing while the sunset cruise features a half-dozen hors d'oeuvers. Both excursions last around two hours.
Listen to live entertainment while you cruise down the river on the 1800s-style paddleboat modeled after Texas Revolution-era watercraft. Be sure to look out for special holiday cruises held on Mother's and Father's Day, around Halloween, and more!
The paddleboat is also available for private rental. To learn more about Dido’s Restaurant and the Yellowstone Paddlewheeler, including current hours, a full menu, and/or to schedule your cruise, please visit the official River Rendezvous website or Facebook page.
