If you’re in search of festive fun that won’t break the bank, look no further than the Walkway of Lights in Texas. This lakefront display in Marble Falls is one of our favorites! It features more than two million lights – and the best part? It’s totally free! Get into the holiday spirit while going easy on your wallet at this merry and bright Central Texas attraction.
Each holiday season, thousands flock to Marble Falls for the annual Walkway of Lights. This nearly two-month-long celebration features over two million holiday lights right along the lakefront.
Stroll through the walkway at your own pace, as the event is entirely self-guided. With over 250 displays to marvel at, losing track of time is almost inevitable.
Prepare to be astounded yet again at the tree, with its impressive 17,000 multicolored lights. A world of illumination surrounds you as the animated displays dance to and fro.
From sleighs to snowmen and everything in-between, the grounds are peppered with iconic holiday symbols. This whimsical dreamland embodies Christmas cheer—even the Grinch would have a hard time not getting into the spirit of the season!
Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. on November 20 with a lighted parade. Santa will be available for photos on select dates, and concession stands usually offer festive snacks like popcorn, cookies, hot apple cider, and hot cocoa.
Walkway of Lights is totally free to the public, however, donations are accepted. Visit between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. any night from November 20-January 2.
