Around mid-November each year, the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine transforms into a Christmas wonderland with dozens of festivities designed to entertain and enchant the whole family. The magic begins as soon as you step into the lobby, which is decked out with millions of lights, larger-than-life decorations, and a 52-foot tree in the center of it all.

ICE! is the hotel's signature holiday attraction, featuring a 17,000-square-foot, subzero room filled with over two million pounds of hand-carved ice sculptures.

The theme of ICE! changes every Christmas season; this year's is The Polar Express. You'll see iconic scenes and characters from the classic children's book and film - all made entirely out of ice.

A fully immersive experience, ICE! brings The Polar Express to life and actually makes guests feel as if they've boarded a magical train en route to the North Pole.

While the room is a frigid nine degrees to keep the ice from melting, you'll stay nice and warm in a cozy blue parka provided by the hotel.

You can even race your friends and family down a two-story ice slide!

Most people spend between 20 and 40 minutes exploring this frozen fairytale land - but there is no time limit, so feel free to stay as long as you'd like.
