From a desert dome to a whimsical treehouse, there are lots of unique vacation rentals in Texas, but one of my personal favorites is the Bartlett National Bank. In operation from 1904 until the 1930s, this living piece of history sat abandoned for years before it was painstakingly restored to its former glory and converted into a vacation rental. This former bank Airbnb in Texas still looks like a bank both inside and out, but it has been outfitted with all the comforts of home. Just wait until you see the bank vaults!

Tucked away in the charming small town of Bartlett - otherwise known as the "Most Photographed Town in Texas" - you'll find the historic building that once housed the Bartlett National Bank.

Judging by the exterior alone, you'd have no idea this piece of architectural brilliance is no longer a bank - and you definitely wouldn't know it sat abandoned for many years.
The building underwent painstaking renovations, which definitely paid off.

You don't often hear the words "bank" and "cozy" in the same sentence, but this space offers the best of both worlds. The inside is still very much reminiscent of a bank, but it has lots of homey touches that will make you feel welcome and at ease.
Up to seven guests can sleep in the bank's three bedrooms.
