One of the best themed restaurants in Texas, Moby Dick’s in Port Aransas will make you think you’ve stepped onto a pirate ship. Not only is the eatery itself filled with nautical décor, but some of the actual menu items sport pirate-themed names such as “Landlubber” and “Swashbuckler.” The entire family is sure to have a blast eating here!
Ahoy, mateys! Next time you find yourself in the charming beach town of Port Aransas, take your landlubber legs on over to Moby Dick's Restaurant.
This waterfront eatery features pirate-themed décor, a lively, upbeat atmosphere, and a massive dining room. It's known for being one of the most family-friendly restaurants in town - the kids menu even has a sea-themed crossword puzzle and a few other activities to keep youngsters occupied.
Now, let's take a look at the grub, shall we? While Moby's specializes in seafood, the menu also features a number of steak and chicken dishes, plus sandwiches, soups, salads, and appetizers.
If you happen to be in the mood for a burger, you'll get to experience one of the most unique things about Moby Dick's: their pirate-themed menu item names. From the "Landlubber," which is their bacon cheddar burger, to the "Swashbuckler," which features mushrooms and Swiss cheese, these handheld delights are just as fun to order as they are delicious to eat.
A couple of the seafood dishes also sport interesting names. Pictured here is salmon, but we hear the "Captain's Catch," or a grilled and seasoned, half-pound mahi mahi fillet, is so good, it'll have your taste buds walking the plank that leads straight to heaven.
Grown-ups can enjoy tropical cocktails with names such as "Parrot Punch," "Beach Bum," and "Dolphin Kiss." There are even some that serve an entire table!
