There are several alpaca farms in Texas where you can get your snuggle on with the adorable critters, but Black Barn Alpacas is the first (that we know of) to offer a fall festival. Pick pumpkins, take a hayride, and pet, feed, and take pictures with 50 alpacas for the autumn experience of a lifetime.
What do you get when you combine fall with alpacas? An adorable adventure that will quickly become a yearly tradition in your family.
Black Barn Alpacas, a 16-acre farm in Floresville (about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio) is hosting a fall festival all throughout the month of October. The event features many different activities for all ages, including hay rides, carnival games, live music, and more.
Despite all the fall festivities, the alpacas are still the stars of the show. Guests can pet, feed, and take pictures with 50 of the mild-mannered animals who are always excited to meet new people.
Later in the month, visitors can also participate in a three-hole washer tournament for some good old-fashioned healthy competition. Tickets for the festival are available both online and at the door.
Visit the farm’s website or Facebook page for more information, including festival dates and hours as well as ticket prices.
