Whether you say “tuh-may-toe” or “tuh-mah-toe”, there’s no debating that the Jacksonville Tomato Fest is a blast for all who attend. Held on the 2nd Saturday of June every year, this small-town Texas festival features food, arts and crafts, prizes, and – of course – all things tomato-related. Just wait until you try some of Jacksonville’s world-famous salsa!
All contest entries must be submitted prior to the day of the festival. For more information about the Jacksonville Tomato Fest, including a full schedule of events, please visit the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce website or Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
Have you ever attended the Jacksonville Tomato Fest? If so, we’d love to hear all about your experience! Don’t forget to check out our previous article for one of the best day trips in Texas in nearby Palestine. It starts with a scenic hike and ends with a ride on the iconic Texas State Railroad – what could be better than that?
