Established in 1983, Perini Ranch Steakhouse serves up traditional chuck wagon food in the small town of Buffalo Gap (population 463.) Located on the sprawling Perini family ranch, this no-frills, yet iconic restaurant is so quintessentially Texas.
Choose between six different cuts of steak, ranging in size from eight to a whopping 22 ounces. Only the finest Certified Angus Beef is seasoned Perini Ranch Steak Rub and grilled over a live mesquite fire.
If you aren't in the mood for steak, a thick, juicy burger always hits the spot. This bad boy weighs half a pound and is topped with cheddar cheese and grilled mushrooms, green chiles, and onions. It's so delicious, it won an award on the Today Show!
Other entrees include catfish, grilled chicken, shrimp, and ribs. These dishes come with a salad, your choice of vegetable, and sourdough bread with basil butter.
Along with the unparalleled cuisine, Perini Ranch Steakhouse stands out from the crowd for another reason: you can spend the night! Two guest houses sleep between three and five, allowing restaurant patrons to extend their visit overnight and enjoy the gorgeous landscape for a little while longer.
Choose between the "Main House," a restored 1885 farmhouse original to the family ranch, and the "Camp House," a newer addition. Both have a rustic feel and feature modern amenities, so the decision really depends on the size of your group.
Spending the night also means you can stick around after dinner and experience the lively nighttime atmosphere on the ranch. The steakhouse closes at 10 p.m., and friendly regulars often keep the vibe going right up until closing time.
