Star Wars typically divides people into two camps: those who geek out at the mere mention of it, and…well, everyone else. No matter which side of the spectrum you fall on, this new pop-up bar is for everyone. Even if you’re not about all the kitschy decor (including a life-size Darth Vader and Stormtroopers), who could resist a Baby Yoda cocktail?
Known for its annual Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up bar at Halloween, Ill Minster Pub is nerding out to celebrate Disney’s final installment of the Skywalker saga, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Every inch of the English-style pub has been decked out in classic movie memorabilia -- right down to bathrooms resembling the Death Star.
A pair of Stormtroopers and Darth Vader himself command the room, protecting the Galactic Empire from a six-foot-long Millenium Falcon hanging from the ceiling. Do you dare grab a seat anywhere near their dark Sith energy?
Everyone's favorite droid makes an appearance from time to time, his quirkiness never failing to elicit a smile from anyone and everyone. Perhaps C3PO will tag along, too!
Chewbacca proudly sits next to a movie poster for 'The Empire Strikes Back,' a spotlight illuminating his gruff, hairy face. Numerous big-screen TVs will be playing the movies, both original and modern, on repeat.
Along with the decor comes, of course, creative themed drinks. This is 'Consider the Leia,' which includes Patron coffee liqueur, vodka, and Rumchata, and mini cinnamon bun cereal pieces on top to resemble the princess' iconic hairstyle. There's also a Baby Yoda cocktail, made with vodka and green melon liqueur, and garnished with limes that serve as his ears.
So whether you're coming for the atmosphere, the drinks, or simply for an opportunity to unleash your inner geek, come join The Rebel Alliance for a night. The pop-up bar will only be here for a limited time, so don't hesitate!
