As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
It’s no secret that Texas is one of the best states for wine connoisseurs – after all, we have an entire region called the Texas Wine Country! Almost all of the vineyards offer wine tastings and tours, but only a few have overnight lodging that allows guests to extend their stay and enjoy the experience for a bit longer – and Mendelbaum Cellars is one of those places.
Mendelbaum Cellars boasts wines of only the highest quality from the Texas Panhandle and High Plains all the way to Israel. Drop in anytime to sample a few or reserve the tasting room for a party or get-together.
With so many options to choose from, it might be a bit overwhelming to make a selection - especially if you aren't extremely familiar with wine. No worries, though! The knowledgeable staff can help find a bottle for every palate and occasion.
The pavilion just opened in July and serves as a perfect spot for wedding receptions, bachelorette parties, birthdays, reunions, company retreats, and other private events. Wine brings people together, and there's no better place to facilitate that than a rustic, secluded winery.
Here's a look at the vineyard itself. Imagine taking an evening stroll through the grapevines with that special someone, watching the sunset as you walk hand-in-hand and feeling like the last two people on earth. I can imagine few better ways to spend a birthday or anniversary.
The best part? You don't even have to leave when the day is over. There are six guest cabins available for rent on the bank of Grape Creek, just nine miles from historic downtown Fredericksburg.
They sleep 4-6 people and include a bathroom, separate bedroom, a furnished kitchen and living room, a covered porch with table and chairs, and plenty of other amenities. Click here for more information on rates and booking.
