If Texas home cooking at its finest is what your soul craves, it's time to plan a trip to The Ranch Hand Cafe in Cleveland. This tiny, no-frills eatery may not look like much on the outside, but the food and atmosphere embody everything the Lone Star State is all about.
Upon stepping inside, you'll immediately notice the rustic, cowboy-themed décor that covers every square inch of the restaurant. From animal heads mounted on the walls to old Coca-Cola signs and other vintage memorabilia, everything about this place screams "Texas."
Of course, no small-town Texas restaurant would be complete without a license plate wall, and The Ranch Hand is no exception. Take a few minutes to really look around at everything while you're here - it makes the experience so much more memorable!
The menu is simple, but it covers all the necessary bases. From crispy chicken-fried steak smothered in country gravy to juicy burgers that need two hands to hold, there's something for every Texas-sized craving.
Texans are big on dessert - especially homemade pie. You'll find several different flavors here, as well as banana pudding that tastes just like mom used to make.
