There are a great many scenic drives in Texas to choose from. Whether you prefer driving over mountains or through vibrant wildflower fields, there is a route for just about everyone. One of my favorites is the “Twisted Sisters,” a 100-mile drive that spans three ranch roads in the beautiful Hill Country. The views are gorgeous (and it has lots of hairpin turns to please the daredevil in all of us), plus it passes right by the charming small town of Rocksprings, which boasts a rich history, a bat-filled sinkhole, and perhaps the quaintest hotel you’ve ever seen.
Have you ever driven this twisting, turning route? If so, do you think it’s one of the best scenic drives in Texas? Tell us your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to check out our Road Trip Snack Guide before you set off on your journey – because no road trip is complete without snacks, am I right?
