With a population of roughly 25,000, Big Spring, Texas is on the larger end of what most people consider to be a “small town,” but nonetheless, it still has that unmistakable small-town feel. The crown jewel of Big Spring is Hotel Settles, a historic, 15-story hotel dating to the 1930s. People travel from all over Texas not only to stay in the hotel but also to dine at The Settles Grill, which is located inside on the ground floor.

When you're driving through the desolate landscape of West Texas, it's hard to miss Hotel Settles.
This 15-story gem towers over the surrounding area and provides a unique opportunity to stay in a 1930s-era that has been painstakingly restored to its former glory.
From the elegant architecture to the beautiful paintings adorning the walls, everything about the hotel is refined, sophisticated, and reminiscent of a bygone era.
Whether or not you actually stay at the hotel, you simply must eat at The Settles Grill. Open to the public for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this upscale eatery offers fine dining cuisine with a unique Texas twist.
If you're craving a big, juicy burger, Settles Grill delivers. Their signature burger is made with a mixture of chuck and brisket and topped with red onion confit, lettuce, tomato, and cheddar on a brioche bun.
The iconic duo of steak and potatoes always hits the spot, and there are several delicious options to choose from. From ribeye to New York strip, the steaks here are cooked to perfection and served with mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, and steak butter.
Visit the Hotel Settles website or the Hotel Settles Facebook page for more information about the restaurant, including current hours and menus. If you’d like to book a room, you can do so either on the hotel’s website or on Hotels.com.
