Gas stations aren’t exactly world-renowned for their food options — at least, they weren’t until Chef Point came along. This unique restaurant near Dallas is quite possibly the most unassuming building you’ll ever come across, but inside its doors is some of the best gourmet food ever to pass your lips.
I don't know about y'all, but when I think of gas stations, I think of cold tacos and food poisoning —
not high-quality, delicious comfort food (which is exactly what you'll get at Chef Point!)
Owners Franson Nwaeze and Paula Merrell opened the restaurant more than 10 years ago and have since been featured on countless news stations and TV shows, including "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." Everyone was blown away by the revolutionary idea of turning a gas station into a five-star eatery.
...or an innovative breakfast creation like this French-toasted, grilled cheese, corned beef sandwich, Chef Point has such a wide variety of options that everyone is bound to find something pleasing to their palate.
Oh, and did we mention there's a bar menu almost as extensive as the food menu? Wine, vodka, beer, whiskey, and even a Bloody Mary piled high with everything but the kitchen sink are all fine choices to compliment your meal.
You didn't think we'd skip out on dessert, did you? Bread pudding and homemade chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream are the everyday options, and there are occasional specials for holidays (like Valentine's Day coming up next week!)
