Calling all thrill seekers! If you’re always looking for your next hit of adrenaline, make plans to visit Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington soon. The theme park is home to the only mountain coaster in the state: Runaway Mountain. Riders will enter a massive, 7.5-story mountain and embark on a series of high-speed twists and turns guaranteed to make your palms sweat. Oh, and one more thing: you’ll be in total darkness from start to finish.
Located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Runaway Mountain is the only mountain coaster in the state.
A roaring waterfall cascades down the mountainside, and deep within the bowels of the hulking structure, a complex network of underground caves and tunnels beckons you into its clutches.

The mere act of standing in line for the roller coaster proves to be a memorable experience, as the queue is designed to look exactly like a craggy rock landscape.
First, you'll ascend a 59-foot hill, then take on a series of heart-pounding switchbacks and turnarounds. At one point, the course plunges straight down at almost 90 degrees!
The grand finale is a near-perpendicular turn that will have you feeling all sorts of disoriented.
...until the adrenaline wears off and you get back in line for round two!
