If you’ve always dreamed of going on safari but don’t want to shell out the money for a full-blown African vacation, this themed Airbnb in Texas is the next best thing. Located in Blanco, the Wild Safari Room boasts safari-inspired décor and a spacious outdoor area complete with actual exotic animals that guests can interact with. It’s truly one of the most memorable stays you’ll ever have.
It isn't always feasible to drop everything and head to Africa, but this safari-themed Airbnb in Texas is a close second.
The Wild Safari Room is a private room inside a spacious home that sleeps 2 guests. It's completely decked out with safari animal-themed décor...including cheetah print pillows and even an adorable stuffed cheetah!
While the rental does not include the entire home, guests will enjoy a private bathroom directly connected to their suite (and yes, it's also accented with safari-themed elements).
Guests are welcome to relax and mingle in the living area and partake in a homemade breakfast in the dining room each morning. The meal includes all the usual suspects - eggs, bacon/sausage, bread, coffee, juice, and tea - however, special dietary needs can be accommodated.
You'll also have access to a small, yet well-equipped fitness center. Even though you won't have to run from lions or tigers, you can still get in some exercise!
Outside, guests can indulge in a peaceful, 1-mile stroll around the property. A thatched-roof gazebo with patio furniture overlooks a beautiful pond and invites you to come sit for a spell.
There is also a firepit perfect for making s'mores (the hosts can even supply roasting sticks upon request), plus a grill and pool/ping pong tables on the back porch.
What really sets this safari-themed Airbnb in Texas apart from all others is that it actually features exotic animals! You'll see - and have the chance to interact with - gazelles, zebras, ostriches, oryxes, donkeys, and wildebeests.
For larger parties, a connecting media room with 3 large beds can be booked along with the Wild Safari Room. In addition, if the Wild Safari Room is all booked up, there are 2 additional rooms in the house available for rent. Please visit the Airbnb listing for more information about the room, including current availability and nightly rate.
