We’ve all been stuck in a traffic jam without enough snacks to power us through – isn’t it the worst feeling? If it ever happens again while you’re in the Cedar Creek area, you won’t have to worry about going hungry. The Texas Roadstand is an unassuming eatery on State Highway 21 that serves up the juiciest, most delicious burgers you’ve ever had. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s one of the best roadside restaurants in Texas!

Highway 21 is a fairly busy thoroughfare - after all, it just barely misses the Austin metro.
Next time you find yourself bumper-to-bumper in the Cedar Creek area, take a break from sitting in traffic and stop at The Texas Roadstand Drive-In for a good burger.
Everything is made from scratch at this unassuming little dive, and the atmosphere is so quaint, you'll immediately feel right at home.
It's a decidedly no-frills joint - you won't see white tablecloths or fancy décor - but that's part of the charm. Plus, when the food is this good, things like fancy cutlery are of minimal importance.

The menu is relatively small, featuring only a handful of burgers to choose from.
Barring any absolutely necessary ethical or dietary restrictions, however, we recommend going with a good old-fashioned burger. The Angus beef patties are shaped by hand each day, and you can really taste the difference.
Once you have your meal in hand, either take it to go or grab a seat on the cozy outdoor patio.
