We Texans are in a pretty committed relationship with buffets, and Louie’s Backyard certainly doesn’t disappoint. Each night, guests can chow down on succulent prime rib, fresh seafood, loaded baked potatoes, hush puppies, and so many more delicious options.
Situated directly on the bay, Louie's Backyard is one of the most popular South Padre Island restaurants - and for good reason. Not only does it boast bayside dining, live music, and iconic sunsets, but also a nightly prime rib and seafood buffet fit for a king.
Start your meal with a fresh salad to make up for the carnivorous feast. Fill a plate with greens, boiled eggs, fruit, and tons more good-for-you options.
Next up is the baked potato bar, where you'll load a spud with all the delicious fixins. Shredded cheese, sour cream, chives, and bacon bits nestle perfectly inside the little pocket of starchy goodness.
Moving on to what everyone truly looks forward to: the main course. Succulent, herb-encrusted prime rib, snow crab legs, hand-breaded shrimp and scallops, and hush puppies are just a few of the many options.
Leaving without a piece of Death by Chocolate cake would almost be criminal. It's a six-layer experience, with decadent frosting and rich pastry alternating for a taste sensation like nothing you've ever experienced.
