It turns out that many famous movies have been filmed right here in Texas, and I can see why. With our diverse and breathtaking landscape coupled with amazing architecture and historic landmarks, directors have jumped on the opportunity to film hit movies in the Lone Star State. Here are 12 places you will instantly recognize from famous movies:
Our favorite and highly photogenic swimming hole appeared in several scenes of the 2010 movie "Predators."
This building in downtown Houston appeared in the 1990 movie "Robocop 2," along with other Houston locations such as the Alley Theater and George R. Brown Convention Center.

The original home was actually located in Round Rock, but has now been moved on the grounds of The Antlers hotel in Kingsland. It now operates as a restaurant called Grand Central Cafe.
