Having just opened last year, Austin's The Pickle House has already gained a significant amount of notoriety. This restaurant is the epitome of innovation, weaving pickles into nearly all of its recipes in the most creative ways imaginable.
When the pickles are this incredible to begin with, frying 'em creates a culinary experience that simply can't be described in words. The creamy dipping sauce takes the deliciousness to a whole new level!
Believe it or not, this fried chicken sandwich boasts pickles in three different forms: a tangy pickle sauce, spicy pickle chips, and pickled onions. A turkey melt, classic Reuben, meatloaf, and several burgers are additional sandwich options on the menu.
After trying pickle-fried chicken, you'll never go back to the normal stuff. Pickle juice is expertly woven into the batter, a move that produces the juiciest, most tender chicken with zesty undertones unlike anything you've ever tasted.
Most entrees include a trip to the Pickle Bar, which you should absolutely take advantage of. No better side dish than the restaurant's pride and joy (straight from the jar, to boot!)
