Great seafood isn’t limited to coastal cities. In fact, some of the best seafood in Texas is hiding way up in Waxahachie! Atkins Seafood serves up fried seafood baskets, hushpuppies and other scrumptious sides, plus rotating daily specials, and everything is fresh from the boat and absolutely delicious.
If you want more Texas restaurants, make sure to sign up for our weekly dining newsletter. Every Thursday, a new eatery to try in the Lone Star State will be delivered straight to your email. Yum!
The motto at Atkins Seafood is "If they were any fresher, they'd still be swimmin'!" - and it's true.
Both the menu and the portions are huge, so you'd better come hungry. If you like fried seafood, you'll be delighted to see that shrimp, oysters, and fish are on offer. For those who prefer something lighter, grilled options are also available (including crab cakes.)
You can stick with just one type of seafood, or mix and match to try a bit of everything. Combo baskets come with two sides, which include all the usual suspects like coleslaw, corn, and boiled potatoes, plus one hushpuppy.
Atkins also operates a nearby fish market that offers fresh catches straight from the boat. Either stock up on all your favorites to bring home and cook however you'd like, or enjoy a delicious meal at the restaurant.
You’ll find the fish market at 300 Ferris Ave. Visit the Atkins Seafood website or Facebook page for more information, including current hours and a full menu.
