General stores, by nature, make you reminisce on and long for simpler times, and T.C. Lindsey & Co. General Store is no exception. Sitting in Jonesville, near the heart of East Texas, it’s been around for nearly two centuries, making it an integral part of our state’s history.
Take a look:
The store opened in 1847 as the Jones Trading Post and General Store.
A wave of nostalgia will wash over you as you peruse the antiques and memorabilia. You'll be taken back to your childhood and how things used to be in small-town Texas.
You can also give your taste buds a treat with the large selection of delicious locally made jams, jellies, salsas, and honey. Everyone knows that us country folk know how to make our spreads.
The general store even makes its own cheddar cheese. As you can probably imagine, it's absolutely divine - and you get to watch them cut it right before your eyes. Make sure to ask for a sample!
All in all, T. C. Lindsey & Co. General Store represents everything Texas used to stand for, and you absolutely can't drive through Jonesville without stopping by.
