We’re all familiar with the Polar Express in Palestine, but did y’all know there’s another Christmas train ride in Texas? Austin Steam Train’s North Pole Flyer takes passengers on a magical journey full of hot cocoa, storytelling, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus. All aboard!
This enchanting two-hour excursion departs at 8:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Flyers are encouraged to arrive 30-45 minutes early to account for parking and seating.
Festive decorations abound, ranging from garland to centerpieces and everything in between. Prepare to be whisked away on a magical journey as soon as you take your seat.
Enjoy unlimited hot cocoa and locally-baked Christmas cookies while listening to a live reading of "North Pole Flyer," a charming holiday story of the railroad's very own. There's no sweeter way to kick off the most wonderful time of year!
Mrs. Claus eagerly listens to every child's wish list, promising to fill Saint Nick in on their requests. Watching how their eyes sparkle as the North Pole's headmistress walks by is a memory you'll cherish forever.
Santa himself also visits each train car to read the Christmas lists of all the little girls and boys. He'll check them twice, pose for photographs, and hand out a gift to every wide-eyed tot on board.
