If you're looking for easy hikes in Big Bend National Park that don't skimp on views, give the Basin Loop Trail a whirl.
At less than 2.5 miles long, this beginner-friendly trail is surrounded by towering mountain peaks, so you can admire Mother Nature's handiwork for the entire length of the hike.
Luckily, you don't have to climb the park's mountains to realize their splendor. Simply gazing up at the rock giants whose apexes appear to soar higher than the clouds gets the message across load and clear.
One of the neatest things about the Basin Loop Trail is that it offers views of "The Window," which is arguably the most famous scenic vista in the park.
The trail is enough of a hike by itself, but it does connect to several other trails, including the Pinnacles Trail and Laguna Meadow Trail. If desired, you may extend your adventure for a longer, more challenging hike with a higher elevation gain.
No matter how you choose to experience the Basin Loop Trail, you just can't beat the views it provides in the span of just about two miles. Get your camera ready!
