Often times, the best things in life are worth waiting for. That sentiment definitely rings true at Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ in Austin, where the most popular menu item is only served on weekends. If you love ribs, this family-owned restaurant belongs on your dining bucket list.
An unassuming Austin food truck, Valentina's Tex Mex BBQ is home to one of the most unique culinary fusions around.
You'll find the trailer on Menchaca Road, and it's open from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday (or until sold out).
While everything on the menu is worth trying at least once, the beef ribs deserve special recognition.
Build your own BBQ platter, complete with smoked brisket, pulled pork or chicken, beef or chicken fajita meat, sausage, and pork ribs, all sold by the pound.
You'll also find a variety of sandwiches, ranging from brisket to mesquite-smoked pulled chicken and pork.
Brisket, carnitas, pulled chicken, and cerveza beef are among your options, and you can't go wrong with any of them.
Side dishes include rice and beans, homemade flour tortillas, potato salad, and slaw – the best of the BBQ and Tex-Mex worlds! Visit the restaurant’s website or Facebook page to learn more.
