If you’ve been itching for some time out in nature, it doesn’t get much better than the Brookeland / Lake Sam Rayburn KOA Holiday. This little slice of heaven is situated on over 300 acres of East Texas Piney Woods landscape, and it offers tent and RV sites as well as several different types of cabins. The amenities are numerous, the scenery is beautiful, and the seclusion will make you feel like a new person when you stay is over. It’s one of the most massive campgrounds in Texas, with plenty of space to roam and explore.
If an East Texas getaway is calling your name, look no further than the Brookeland / Lake Sam Rayburn KOA Holiday campground. Less than a mile from the beautiful Lake Sam Rayburn, this year-round oasis is situated on 300 sprawling acres of pine and oak forests.
The campground offers several different lodging options that range from tent and RV sites to three different types of cabins. Pets are welcome (including horses, and there's even a barn for boarding!).
For those who don't have an RV and aren't keen on tent camping, rest assured there is a lodge, cottage, or cabin to fit your needs. These accommodations vary in terms of amenities, but some common themes include coffee makers, mini fridges, satellite TV (with over 200 channels!), and A/C and heat.
KOA Holidays are known for their plethora of outdoor attractions, and this one is no exception. The pool is open year-round and always looks sparkly and inviting, and there's even a community firepit and yard games for all ages to enjoy.
Guests rave about the pond, which can be used for fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boating.
Mill Creek runs straight through the property on its way to Lake Sam Rayburn, and walking along the water under a canopy of towering trees brings about an undeniable sense of peace and wellbeing.
