We’ve written about llamas and alpacas several times before, but can you really blame us? The charismatic creatures are always excited to meet new people and spread their infectious goofy cheer far and wide. At The Shady Llama in Wimberley, you can play with adorable llamas and enjoy a tall glass of wine or beer overlooking the vast Texas Hill Country.
Five adorable llamas plus two miniature donkeys reside on the property, welcoming visitors with their goofy smiles and excited humming sounds. It's love at first sight for everyone who visits.
All of the animals are friendly and can often be spotted visiting with customers at the bar around sunset. They come and go as they please but always welcome a gentle pat on the head.
A vast selection of wine and on-tap beer guarantees that everyone gets to sip on something they enjoy. The menu is ever-changing and usually contains at least 20 different beverages.
Have you ever been to The Shady Llama? If so, tell us all about your experience with the animals, drinks, and overall atmosphere. Check out our previous article for another place to get up close and personal with llamas: Spend The Night With Over 70 Llamas And Alpacas At Figment Ranch In Texas.
