In addition to the longest floating boardwalk in the country, the city of Weatherford, Texas is home to another can’t-miss attraction: Chandor Gardens. This unique destination combines elements from Chinese and English garden styles, and the result is a stunning outdoor oasis that will leave you feeling relaxed and inspired. If you haven’t yet visited this hidden gem, add it to your bucket list.
Tucked away in the heart of Weatherford’s Historic District, Chandor Gardens is a hidden gem destination that belongs on every Texan's bucket list.
Spanning 3.5 acres, the garden was established in 1936 by Douglas Chandor, a British-born portrait painter.
Featuring elements from both Chinese and English gardens, Chandor Gardens is known for its intricate displays and overarching essence of sophistication.
The garden is divided into 17 distinct areas, and as you meander along the walking paths that connect them all together, you'll feel as if you're traveling to new worlds.
From the traditional English bowling green and boxwood garden to the Chinese "Moon Gate" and Buddha statue, a visit to Chandor Gardens is a true feast for the senses.
