If you love pickles, you’ll relish (pun intended) the experience of sampling one of the most iconic foods in Texas, Fickle Pickles, forever. This Boerne-based business now has five locations across the Hill Country because their pickles are so popular. Not only that, but you can have them shipped anywhere in the U.S. – and even to some foreign countries! You could say they’re kind of a big dill.
If you want more Texas restaurants, make sure to sign up for our weekly dining newsletter. Every Thursday, a new eatery to try in the Lone Star State will be delivered straight to your email. Yum!
Next time you're in Boerne, Gruene, Bandera, Austin, or New Braunfels, don't even think about leaving without stopping by the Fickle Pickles store.
The Boerne-based business was founded in 1987 by Billie A. Shaw, whom locals quickly began calling "The Pickle Lady." Her store originally offered antiques as well as pickles, but the latter was so popular, the antiques took a backseat almost immediately.
Available in a variety of different sizes and quantities, the jars make ideal gifts for the pickle lovers in your life who can't visit one of the shops in person.
Have you ever tried Fickle Pickles? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Don’t forget to check out our previous article to learn why Boerne is one of the most walkable small towns in Texas. It’s the perfect day trip destination!
