As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
There’s no shortage of unique places to spend the night in Texas, but this Galveston Airbnb is definitely among the quirkiest. The iconic Kettle House was recently renovated and is now an Airbnb, and you’ll definitely want to stay awhile.
As seen on HGTV, the iconic "Kettle House" in Galveston is now an Airbnb. Built for use as a storage tank in the 1960s, this newly-renovated home is just an eight-minute walk from the beach.
The living area is cozy, yet spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. All the creature comforts you're accustomed to, like high-speed WiFi and a 4K Smart TV, keep modern life right at your fingertips.
A full kitchen comes equipped with all the basic appliances, including a Keurig coffee maker. The hosts also provide dishes and silverware, pots and pans, oil, salt and pepper, and even light breakfast items.
To access the master bedroom, you'll ascend a charming spiral staircase. It is rather steep and tight, and there are no handrails, so keep that in mind if you have children or mobility issues.
Also upstairs is a bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower. Don't worry about essentials like body wash, shampoo, or a hairdryer - they'll be right there waiting for you. Did someone say spa day?
An additional four guests can sleep in the two queen beds downstairs. How cute is this setup? The hammocks are practically begging for you to lounge all day with a good read in-hand.
Enjoy the cool island breeze on the deck, which boasts comfortable furniture and string lights to illuminate your nighttime hangouts. This is our definition of paradise!
