Hot cocoa bombs are all the rage this season, and some of the best in Texas can be found at Choco Fresitas & More. This San Antonio based small business makes the trendy treat in several unique flavors, and they can even do custom designs! Get your mug ready and check it out:
Choco Fresitas & More is owned and operated by 22-year-old Eliana Carlos of San Antonio. She has been making chocolate-covered strawberries since childhood, and officially opened her own business in mid-2020.
Although chocolate-covered strawberries are the main attraction - hence the word "fresitas" in the name, which means "little strawberries" in Spanish - Eliana doesn't stop there. When the hot cocoa bomb trend began sweeping the internet, she had to jump on the bandwagon.
If you aren't familiar with the trend, allow us to explain how it works. First, you'll place the hot cocoa bomb—which looks like a giant truffle—at the bottom of a mug.
Next, heat up some milk, pour it over the top, and watch the magic happen. Right before your eyes, the hot cocoa bomb "explodes" and unleashes a sweet surprise that's heaven in every sip.
You'll find several different flavors on the menu, ranging from plain to her newest concoction, cookies & cream. Who needs Starbucks when you can make an even better white hot cocoa at home?
